Ambrosino Calls Out Assemblywomen Lampitt And Mosquera

For Being ‘Do As We Say Not As We Do’ South Jersey Democrats

Where were Lampitt and Mosquera after former Assemblyman Barclay punched his girlfriend in the face?

HADDON HEIGHTS – Camden County Republican Chairman Rich Ambrosino asked today when Camden County’s Democrat Assemblywomen were going to end their hypocrisy.

At issue is a recent

press release

issued by Assemblywomen Pam Lampitt and Gabriela Mosquera heralding a bill offering support to victims of violence and abuse.

“While I agree victims of violence and abuse should be supported, I question the level of support Assemblywomen Lampitt and Mosquera actually provide to victims of violence and abuse, Camden County Republican Chairman Rich Ambrosino said. “Both Assemblywomen sat silently on the sidelines when the news of former Assemblyman Arthur Barclay’s arrest for a domestic incident broke.”

Ambrosino asked, “Where was their support for the former Assemblyman’s girlfriend after he punched her in the face?”

Ambrosino explained, “In their press release Lampitt said, ‘Each year, 10 million Americans will be physically abused by their partners, over 430,000 will be sexually assaulted and nearly 5 million seniors will experience elder abuse. These numbers are appalling and simply cannot be ignored.’”

“For once I agree with Lampitt, those numbers cannot be ignored.” Ambrosino continued, “It’s time for Lampitt to explain to the residents of her district why she chose to ignore the fact that an Assemblyman admitted to punching his girlfriend.”

“Did Assemblywomen Lampitt and Mosquera ignore the Barclay arrest because he’s in their party? Are they ignoring the fact he still has a county job because he’s in their party? Are Assemblywomen Lampitt and Mosquera happy with being silent hypocrites,” Ambrosino asked.

“This is just another example of the ‘do as we say not as we do’ South Jersey Democrats in action,” Ambrosino said.

AG Bill Barr Blasts ‘Completely Irresponsible Press,’

Hits FBI For ‘Gross Abuses’ In Trump Probe

Attorney General William Barr blasted the “completely irresponsible press” Tuesday as well as the FBI for their respective roles in pushing the debunked theory that the Trump campaign colluded with the Russian government in 2016.

Barr said in

an interview

with NBC News he disagreed with

a Justice Department inspector general’s report

, released Monday, that said the FBI had a legitimate rationale to open an investigation into Trump campaign associates in July 2016.

Barr said he believes the FBI may have acted in “bad faith” in opening the investigation.

“I think there were gross abuses … and inexplicable behavior that is intolerable in the FBI,” Barr told NBC News. “I think that leaves open the possibility that there was bad faith.”

The inspector general’s office said the FBI had a proper predicate for opening the investigation; however, the report also laid out extensive evidence of FBI agents omitting and withholding information regarding the Steele dossier, which the bureau used in applications to conduct surveillance against former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.

The report said FBI agents working the case failed to disclose exculpatory information regarding Page and George Papadopoulos, another former Trump aide. FBI agents also withheld information that called the credibility of dossier author Christopher Steele into question.

Barr doubled down in the interview on remarks he made earlier this year that he believes the U.S. government spied on Trump campaign associates.

“It was clearly spied upon,” Barr said of the FBI’s actions towards the Trump campaign. “That’s what electronic surveillance is … going through people’s emails, wiring people up.”

Barr criticized the press on two fronts. He faulted the industry for largely ignoring the parts of the inspector general’s report that undercut the collusion conspiracy theories. He also accused news outlets of overhyping allegations of Trump-Russia collusion.

He lamented that the inspector general’s report has not been “accurately reported by the press over the last day.”

Barr also added: “I think our nation was turned on its head for three years based on a completely bogus narrative that was largely fanned and hyped by a completely irresponsible press.”

The special counsel’s report, which was released on April 18, said there was no evidence that the Trump campaign conspired with Russia or that any Trump associates acted as agents of Russia. The FBI opened its investigation on July 31, 2016 to find out whether anyone on the campaign was working with Russia to hack and release Democrats’ emails.

As part of the probe, the

FBI relied heavily on the unverified Steele dossier

to assert that there was probable cause to suspect that Page was conspiring with Russia to release emails.

NJ Senator Declan O’Scanlon Wants Stronger Animal Cruelty Law

TRENTON, NJ –Senator Declan O’Scanlon (R-Monmouth) called for action on stricter animal cruelty laws following news that the man who left a pit bull named River in a cage to drown in the Shrewsbury River was found not guilty of attempting to kill the dog.

“Something clearly needs to change when a person can leave a dog trapped in a cage to be drowned by the rising tide but not be convicted of attempting to kill that animal. It is simply barbaric,” said O’Scanlon. “While I’m glad he was found guilty of fourth-degree animal cruelty at the very least, we need to do more. What happened to River and the outcome of this case highlights that action must be taken.”

Following last year’s news of River’s case, O’Scanlon introduced “River’s Law”,

, in February. His legislation establishes a second degree crime of aggravated animal abuse.

“We have a good starting point with River’s Law but there are further changes that need to be made to help clarify existing statutes so that we don’t have this sort of legal confusion surrounding the ‘attempt to kill,’” O’Scanlon added. “Even though It’s clear to many of us what this attempt was, it seems it’s not as clear on the legal end. We are going to work with the SPCA to reintroduce a new version of River’s Law to deal with the issues that came out of River’s case. I hope that my legislative colleagues will join me in the effort.”

Camden County and Gloucester County Republicans Gather Toys for Tots

DEPTFORD – Recently the Camden County and Gloucester County Republican organizations came together for their third annual joint collection event for Toys for Tots at Adelphia Restaurant.

“Our two organizations work well together,” Gloucester County Republican Chairwoman Jacci Vigilante said. “We share parts of two congressional districts, two state legislative districts and office space. While our two organizations often work together to try to win elections, this particular event is without a doubt a favorite of the rank-and-file. Everyone is happy to come together for this good cause.”

The two organizations combined to collect more than 500 toys for children that might otherwise have little to celebrate at Christmas.

“Our joint Toys for Tots collection has quickly become a tradition for our organizations,” Camden County Republican Chairman Rich Ambrosino said. “Many members of our organizations are considered community leaders, as such, it is important we are active within the community. This is to us, one great way of giving a little back and we’re all happy to do it.”

GUEST OPINION: PELOSI DEFENSIVELY INVOKES HER RELIGION

Catholic League president Bill Donohue comments on Nancy Pelosi’s response to a reporter’s question:

As House Speaker Rep. Nancy Pelosi was leaving her press conference today, reporter James Rosen asked her, “Do you hate the president, Madame Speaker?”

Pelosi was livid. She spun around and, pointing at Rosen, said, “I was raised in a Catholic house. We don’t hate anybody—not anybody in the world. So don’t accuse me of that.” Rosen replied that he never accused her of anything. Red hot with anger, she returned to the podium where she warned him, “don’t mess with me.”

Regarding President Trump, she labeled him a “cruel” man. She then went back to the well. “As a Catholic,” she said, “I resent you using the word hate in a sentence that addresses me.”

Whether Pelosi hates the president, or anyone else, is impossible to say, though labeling him “cruel” surely invites speculation.

What bothers many practicing Catholics is her selective invocation of her Catholic status. Here are a few examples.

Pelosi is a champion of abortion rights, for any reason, and at any time of pregnancy, including instances when a baby can be killed who is 80 percent born. [Note: The U.S. bishops recently named “the threat of abortion” as the “preeminent priority” for Catholics.]

Pelosi rejects the Church’s teachings on marriage, holding that two men can marry and raise a family (adopted children, of course) in a manner that is no different from the normal arrangement of a man and a woman.

Pelosi works tirelessly to support bills like the Equality Act that would devastate religious liberty while also undermining the Catholic Church.

Pelosi will never support school vouchers for indigent minorities, consigning them to public schools that wealthy white people like her wouldn’t set foot in.

Pelosi is such a rank hypocrite that she not only selectively, and defensively, wears her religion on her sleeve, she has the gall to call herself a “

conservative Catholic

.”

She would be well advised either to stop rejecting Church teachings on core moral issues, or stop playing the Catholic card to justify her opposition to them.
