An air quality health advisory is in effect across Pennsylvania today due to smoke from wildfires in Canada.Ā TheĀ Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection has declaredĀ a statewide Code Red Air Quality Action Day as unhealthy levels of particle pollution are expected across the Commonwealth.
On āRedā air quality days, the air is unhealthy to breathe andĀ children, older adults, individuals who are pregnant,Ā people who exercise outdoors,Ā and people with respiratory disease, such as asthma, should avoid outdoor exertion.
