Obituary: Lawrence A. \”Larry\” Kratz of Bellmawr

(February 10, 1927 – September 18, 2014)

 Lawrence A. Kratz, \”Larry\”, on September 18, 2014, of Bellmawr. Age 87. Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA.

Beloved husband of the late Mae (nee Haverty). Devoted father of Janet Cardoso (Jack). Loving grandfather of Nicholas. Dear brother of Theresa Kone, Mary Ladner (William), Joseph Kratz (Nancy), and the late Leonard Kratz and Esther Carey. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Kratz proudly served with the Merchant Marines during World War II. He was a maintenance man at WJ Health Systems in Voorhees for over 20 years. Larry was a longtime active member of Mary, Mother of the Church in Bellmawr and Bellmawr Senior Citizens Club.

There will be a viewing Monday morning from 9am to 10:15am at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE.

Funeral Mass 11am Infant Jesus Parish, St. Margaret Church, Woodbury Heights.

Interment New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr.

Gloucester Township PD SAVE Advocate

The Gloucester Township Police Department has created a new, unique program in New Jersey for those who are suffering from addiction. The GTPD created a SAVE (Substance Abuse Victimization Effort) Advocate which is a licensed drug counselor in the courtroom serving as an informational resource regarding treatment programs, The SAVE Advocate is also available to assist community members who have questions about substance abuse treatment for themselves, a friend, or a loved one.
