Mrs. Blanche I. Moen, former Owner of Gloucester Office Supplies, Retired Teacher\’s Aide

\"6a00d8341bf7d953ef019b00302b66970c-800wi\"Funeral services for Mrs. Blanche I. Moen, a lifelong resident of Gloucester City, will be held on Monday at the Etherington Funeral Home, 700 Powell Street, Gloucester City NJ.

Mrs. Moen, age 90, died on September 17, 2014 from complications of Alzheimer\’s Disease.

She was the former owner of the defunct Gloucester Officer Supplies. She was employed for many years as a teacher\’s aide at the Gloucester Heights Grammar School, and for a time she worked for the Gloucester City News when the newspaper was owned by the Cleary family. Blanche was a former member of Cloud Chapter No. 101 OES.

 She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Moen, and loving mother of Joseph Moen, Jr. and Sharyn Moen. She is also survived by her dear grandchildren Michael, David, Joseph, William, Mandy, Karen, Shelley, Laure and 11 great grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to meet Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the ETHERINGTON-CRERAN FUNERAL HOME, 700 POWELL ST., GLOUCESTER CITY, NJ. Blanche’s funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with interment to follow at Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson, NJ. In lieu of flowers her family has suggested memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Assoc., 3 Eves Dr., Suite 310, Marlton, NJ 08053 or Wounded Warriors Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.

NEWARK, N.J. (CN) – A supervisor for the minor league New Jersey Jackals baseball team forced a worker into a lesbian relationship, forced her into threesomes with the boss\’s boyfriend, then assaulted her when she said, enough, the woman claims in court.

Anastasia Conroy sued the New Jersey Jackals, stadium operator Floyd Hall Enterprises, her former boss Michelle Guarino, and co-worker Mark Olden, in Essex County Court.

The Jackals, who play in Yoga Berra Stadium in Little Falls, N.J., are members of the American Association of Independent Professional Baseball, through its association with the Canadian-American Association of Professional Baseball. They are not affiliated with any Major League Baseball team.

Five years ago this week—at 3:19 in the morning on October 24, 2002, to be exact—we closed in on the snipers who’d been terrorizing the Washington, D.C., area over the course of 23 long days.

During the month, 10 people had been randomly gunned down and three critically injured while going about their everyday lives—mowing the lawn, pumping gas, shopping, reading a book. Among the victims was one of our own—FBI intelligence analyst Linda Franklin, who was felled by a single bullet while leaving a home improvement store in Virginia with her husband.

Both groups poured massive amounts of dark money into 2010 congressional campaigns across the country.

PHILADELPHIA PD VIDEO: Robbery 721 Adams Ave

Northeast Detective Division is looking to identify and locate the suspect wanted for a robbery in Lawndale.

On September 13, 2014, at 5:24 pm, the employee, a 20 year-old female, of Metro PCS located at 721 Adams Avenue was behind the counter helping a customer, a 20 year-old male, when an unknown male entered asking questions about activating his cell phone then left. the store armed with a handgun. Once inside the suspect pointed the handgun at the employee and the customer demanding money. After complainant took an undetermined amount of cash from the register and placed it into the offender’s bag he demanded both complainants into the back room. As the complainants began walking towards the back room, the suspect fled the store on foot and was last seen west on Adams Avenue toward Roosevelt Boulevard. Taking from the Metro PCS counter was 1 Metro LG cell phone and the customers black Metro LG cell phone. There were no injuries reported.

  • Suspect Description: Black male, 30 years-0f-ahe, wearing an Old Navy gray hooded sweatshirt, pink frame sunglasses, black jeans, and armed with a handgun.

FUGITIVE FOUND HIDING IN CLOSET

WOODBURY NJ (September 16,2014)–John C. Johnson (DOB 9/16/14) was arrested in Paulsboro NJ today on a fugitive warrant after failing to appear in Superior Court, Woodbury 7/14/14 for a pre-trial conference on a charge of unlawful possession of a handgun.

Johnson was hiding in closet in a Baird Ave. residence when he was taken into custody without incident by officers of the Gloucester County Prosecutor\’s Office Fugitive Investigations Unit, the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force and the Paulsboro Police Department. He was placed in the Salem County Jail.

Obituary: Mrs. Emma B. Morrow of Runnemede

(January 24, 1927 – September 13, 2014)

Emma B. Morrow (nee Redenius), on September 13, 2014, of Runnemede. Age 87.

Devoted mother of John Morrow (Kathleen), JoAnne Vereneck and Joyce Morrow. Loving grandmom Emmy of Shelby, Lindsey, and Michael. Beloved sister of Tom Redenius and the late Rev. Josephine Baker. Also survived by nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Morrow was a member of Runnemede Women’s Club.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Wednesday afternoon from 2pm to 3pm at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, BELLMAWR.

Memorial Service 3pm at the funeral home.

Interment private at the request of the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may in Mrs. Morrow’s name to Trinity Lutheran Church, 200 Clements Bridge Road, Runnemede, NJ 08078.
