WOODBURY NJ–The Fugitive Investigations Unit of the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office on Friday (10/9) arrested Yahmeen Johnson (DOB 10/11/85), of Mantua Township, on a warrant for failure to appear for sentencing on a narcotics possession charge as well as an arrest warrant for several charges Paulsboro police signed on 9/19/15.

OKLAHOMA CITY (CN) – The Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals reversed the blackmail conviction of a man who sent a threatening email to a state senator, citing the man\’s right to free speech in a political arena.
In March 2013, self-proclaimed Sooner Tea Party member Albert Gerhart sent an e-mail to State Senator Cliff Branan threatening to uncover allegedly unsavory information about the senator\’s past, as well as that of his family, if Branan didn\’t ensure that an energy bill was heard before the state senate.
Branan is chairman of the state senate\’s energy committee.

PENNSYLVANIA UPS PENALTY FOR KILLING EAGLES

NEWARK, N.J. – A Kissimmee, Florida, man today admitted preparing fraudulent income tax returns for himself and his clients, resulting in tax losses of over $320,000, U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman announced.

Sixto Rodriguez, 52, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Kevin McNulty in Newark federal court to Count 1 and Count 6 of a second superseding indictment charging him with filing a false tax return on behalf of himself for tax year 2007 and aiding and assisting in the filing of a false and fraudulent tax return on behalf of another for tax year 2009.

LOUISVILLE, K.Y.—10 members of the Rider University softball team were recognized with NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors it was announced by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association on October 7.

To earn recognition, the student-athlete must have earned a 3.50 grade point average or higher.
