 Who but Charlie Hebdo would find the tragic drowning death of a little boy funny? The French magazine, notorious for its vile offenses against the sacred beliefs of Muslims, Christians and Jews, has now published two disgusting cartoons mocking the death of little Aylan Kurdi, the three-year-old Syrian boy whose body washed up on the shores of Turkey during the Syrian refugee exodus.

With his White House run on the ropes, Chris Christie came out swinging Wednesday night at the prime-time Republican presidential debate on CNN.

Instead of duking it out with the other 10 GOP hopefuls on the stage, the New Jersey governor aimed his blows at opponents who weren’t present — President Barrack Obama, Hillary Clinton and the Democratic-controlled legislature in his home state.

They will reopen for regular operation on Monday, September 21 at 8:00 a.m.

HOUSTON, Texas — Community members hosted a march Saturday in memory of Deputy Darren Goforth, who was gunned down at a gas station last month.

Community organizers said the message of the march is that \”Police Lives Matter.\”

Marchers wore blue shirts and carried a banner that read, \”Police Lives Matter\” and \”Undivided we march\” with Goforth\’s image on the front.

Goforth, 47, was in uniform when he was killed while putting fuel in his patrol car. A 30-year-old Houston man is charged with capital murder. Investigators are still trying to determine a motive.

The killing brought out strong emotions in the law enforcement community, with Harris County Sheriff Ron Hickman suggesting that it could have been influenced by heightened national tension over the treatment of blacks by police. Goforth was white and the man charged with killing him, Shannon Miles, is black.

Newswise — MINNEAPOLIS – Being overweight or obese may be tied to an increased risk of a type of brain tumor called meningioma, according to a new meta-analysis published in the September 16, 2015, online issue of Neurology®, the medical journal of the American Academy of Neurology. Meningiomas occur at a rate of about five to eight cases per 100,000 people per year. The five-year survival rate for meningioma is 63 percent.

\”This is an important finding since there are few known risk factors for meningioma and the ones we do know about are not things a person can change,\” said meta-analysis author Gundula Behrens, PhD, of the University of Regensburg in Regensburg, Germany. \”Given the high prevalence of obesity and the unfavorable prognosis for this type of tumor, these findings may be relevant for strategies aimed at reducing the risk of meningioma.\”
