Donald Charles Brown, 85, of West Deptford, NJ passed away peacefully on April 9, 2026.
Donald was born to Elizabeth and John Brown on November 18, 1940, and raised in Haddonfield, NJ.
After High School graduation, Donald served in the United States Army, received his B.A from Rutgers University, an M.A. from Rowan University, and a J.D. from The Widener School of Law. Donald led a distinguished career as an attorney and Assistant Prosecutor for Gloucester County, NJ.

At approximately 1:21 PM, on April 13, the 14th District responded to a shooting on the sidewalk of the 6300 block of Chew Avenue. An adult male sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was transported by police to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 1:49 PM. At this time, there is no known motive, and no arrests have been made. The investigation remains ongoing with the Homicide Unit.

On April 13, 2026, at approximately 12:13 a.m., a 46-year-old male victim walked into the 39th Police District suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. The victim was immediately transported by police to Temple Hospital, where he was admitted in stable condition with one gunshot wound to the chest area.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Oleg Myskiw, whose generous nature impacted numerous lives. Oleg passed away on Thursday, April 9th, due to pancreatic cancer.
He is survived by his , wife of 26 years, Lana, his children, Maria, Alexander, and Kira, as well as his grandchildren, Madison, Roman, and Zoriana.
Oleg was born in 1951 in Newark, NJ. He graduated from Seton Hall University with degrees in Business and History. To assist his father in managing the family meat market and liquor store, he spent six months studying wine in France. Although he briefly attended law school, he chose to follow his passion for politics, winning the Republican Party’s nomination for State Assemblyman from the 28th District in New Jersey at the age of 26. Throughout his political career, he had the opportunity to meet prominent figures such as President Ronald Reagan, Gerald Ford, George H. W. Bush, and Ukrainian President Krawchyk.

Michael Gattone of North Wildwood, formerly of Collingswood and Woodlynne, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on April 7, 2026. He was 69 years old.
He is lovingly survived by his wife, Joanne (nee Gregg); his sons, Michael (Denise), Matthew and Nicholas (Helena Rudoff); his grandchildren, Ethan, Genevieve and Adriana; his sister, Laura (Dan) Macukewicz and his nephew, Michael Gregg (Renee), whom he loved like a son. He was predeceased by his mother, Virginia and his father, Michael, whom he cared for devotedly in his final years.

This program serves as a lifeline for working families and provides critical support to the community-based providers who care for them. “When the Department of Human Services paused new applications last summer, the impact was felt quickly. Families were left scrambling to secure care, and providers experienced declines in enrollment, proving just how essential this resource is. “With the program first reopening on a limited basis late last year and now fully reopened, I am encouraged by our collective commitment to supporting both families and the child care industry for the overall wellbeing of New Jersey. “Child care is vital to our state’s infrastructure and economy, and it plays an important role in the healthy development of our children.
