Wanted: Suspects for Robbery in the 22nd District

The Philadelphia Police Department-Central Detective Division is seeking the public’s help in identifying the individuals depicted in the following video and still photos.

On April 20, 2026, at 2:58 am, the victim, a 20-year-old male, was on the 1500 block of Broad St when a large group of unknown Black males wearing dark clothing and dark ski masks approached him and asked how much his sneakers cost. The when the victim told them, the replied that they would buy them from him right then. The victim refused and started walking away, at which point one of the suspects punched him. The victim continued walking but was struck again. The group then while inside a building with security, the group of males ran in and attacked him, causing a cut to his upper lip and an injury to his right hand. Nothing was taken from the victim.

Philadelphia Police Department Incidents


At approximately 10:16 p.m. on April 25, 2026, officers from the 16th and 18th Districts, along with University of Pennsylvania Police, responded to a “person with a gun” call at 40th and Chestnut Streets. Upon arrival, they discovered a 24-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his lower back. He was immediately transported by police to Penn-Presbyterian Medical Center, where he is currently listed in stable condition.

According to the victim, he and two others were walking near the intersection when they observed a male offender shouting to himself. As the individual approached, he reportedly began shooting at the group without provocation, striking the victim once before fleeing the scene on foot. Shortly thereafter, University of Pennsylvania Police stopped a 43-year-old male who was identified by witnesses as the shooter. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to a local hospital for treatment.

While a firearm was recovered at the scene, the motive for the shooting remains unknown at this time. 

The investigation is active and ongoing with the Shooting Investigation Group, and additional details will be shared as they become available.

Wanted: Suspects for Robbery/Sexual Assault in the 9th District

On Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 4:40 a.m., several males forced their way into a building on the 400 block of North 9th Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The suspect robbed and sexually assaulted the victims at gunpoint. The suspects fled from the roof once the Philadelphia Police arrived.

Police apprehended one suspect on the roof, Saidakhmad Bakiev (Pictured above), 18, from the 27XX block of Northview Road in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (mugshot provided). He was charged with the following offenses: Criminal Conspiracy, Aggravated Assault, Rape, Burglary, Robbery, False Imprisonment, Sexual Assault, Indecent Assault, and other related charges.

The remaining suspects (Below) are described as white males, late teens into their 20’s, dark hair, possibly Russian / Central Asian descent.

Philadelphia Police Investigating Fatal Auto Accident

The Philadelphia Police Department’s Crash Investigation Division is currently investigating a fatal single-vehicle collision.

On Saturday, April 25, 2026, at approximately 5:20 PM, officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident on the 4800 block of Spruce Street. 

Preliminary investigation  indicate that the operator of a vehicle appeared to suffer a sudden medical emergency. This resulted in the driver of the vehicle striking a parked, unoccupied car.

Wanted: Suspect Naseem Sills for Homicide in the 12th District

Philadelphia Police, Homicide Detectives are seeking the public’s help in locating Naseem Sills 19-years-old who is wanted for the below listed homicide.

There is a $20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a suspect in this homicide case.

Homicide by Shooting Incident:
On Thursday, July 4, 2024, at 11:30 p.m., police responded to a radio call for a person with a gun, male shot on the 19XX block of South Salford Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

  • Victim #1:  Maurice Quain who was 19-year-old male suffered a gunshot wound to the head.  Philadelphia Fire Department Medic Unit pronounced the victim dead at 11:43 p.m.
  • Victim #2: An 18-year-old male suffered a gunshot wound to his left leg.
  • Victim #3: A 23-year-old male suffered a gunshot wound to his right leg.
  • Victim #4: A 21-year-old male suffered a gunshot wound to his left shoulder.
  • Victim #5: An 18-year-old male suffered a graze wound to his head.
  • Victim #6: A 15-year-old female suffered a gunshot wound to her left foot.
  • Victim #7: A 16-year-old male suffered a gunshot wound to his left thigh.
  • Victim #8: A 14-year-old male suffered a gunshot wound to his right thigh.
  • Victim #9: A 24-year-old male suffered a gunshot wound to his left leg.

Philadelphia Police Seek Public’s Help Locating Suspect in South Lawrence Street Homicide

The Philadelphia Police Department’s Homicide Unit is seeking the public’s assistance in locating 27-year-old Rahsign Richards, who is wanted in connection with the fatal stabbing of Malik Green earlier this month. Richards is described as a Black male, standing 6’01” tall and weighing approximately 160 lbs. His last known address was located on the 300 block of South Broad Street.

The investigation began on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at approximately 2:28 pm, when 1st District officers responded to a radio call reporting a person with a gun at 4XX Tasker Street. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, 30-year-old Malik Green, in the 1600 block of South Lawrence Street, suffering from multiple stab wounds to the chest. Police immediately transported Green to Jefferson Hospital, where he succumbed to his wounds and was pronounced dead at 2:38 pm.

A post-mortem examination conducted on April 19, 2026, officially confirmed that the cause of death was stab wounds to the chest, and the manner of death has been ruled a homicide. Investigators have since identified Richards as the primary suspect in this case.

The Philadelphia Police Department urges anyone with information regarding Rahsign Richards’ whereabouts to contact the Homicide Unit at 215-686-3334/3335, submit a tip anonymously at 215-686-TIPS, or call 911 immediately if he is sighted.

Unhealthy Air Affects Nearly 1.2 Million PA Kids; Philadelphia Metro Earns Failing Grades

Today, the American Lung Association released its 27th annual “State of the Air” report, which finds that nearly half of the children in the U.S. are breathing unhealthy levels of air pollution, including 1,176,798 kids in Pennsylvania. The report also shows that air quality in the Philadelphia-Reading-Camden, PA-NJ-DE-MD metro area continues to fail, earning, F grades for ozone smog, daily and year-round particle pollution. While the region remains graded straight F’s for all three measures, year-round fine particle pollution worsened compared to last year, moving from 26th worst in the nation to 17th worst, increasing residents’ exposure to unhealthy air.

Arrest of Dieufort Joly

Aggravated Assault Incident

On Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at 1:40 p.m., the offender intentionally drove his black 2007 Hyundai Tucson into the 2nd Police District headquarters lobby on the 73XX block of Castor Avenue.  There were five civilians in the lobby that received medical attention for non-life-threatening injuries from this incident.   The offender exited his vehicle and walked onto Castor Avenue, where police apprehended him.  

There is extensive damage, but not structural damage, to the police building.  The suspect was transported to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital for medical treatment, released, and then transported to the police facility for processing.  Police Officers began rendering aid to individuals, and the Philadelphia Fire Department responded to assist. The civilians in the lobby sustained minor injuries from debris from the incident.  Police secured the scene.  Northeast Detectives are leading the investigation.

Offender:   Dieufort Joly, 26-year-old male, from the 21XX block of Glendale Avenue was charged with the following offenses;  Five counts of  Aggravated Assault, Five counts of Simple Assault, Five Counts of Recklessly Endangering Another Person,  one count of Causing/Risking Catastrophe, One count of Institutional Vandalism,  and One count of Possession of Instrument of Crime.
