Albuquerque 3, Brooklawn 2: Scott Hughes scored the tying run in the bottom of the seventh inning and had the winning single in the eighth as Albuquerque handed Brooklawn its first loss of the tournament at Binghamton University.

Hughes scored in the seventh on a two-out single by Harry Holmes. In the eighth, Hughes singled home Michael Hess.

* Brooklawn 13, Utica 3: Brooklawn scored eight runs in the fifth inning to beat Utica at BU and advance to the quarterfinals.

With the score tied at three in the fifth, Brooklawn\’s Vince Dammann hit a RBI single to make it 4-3.

Andrew Frangos doubled in two runs to cap the fifth inning for Brooklawn which was runner-up in the 2006 tournament. They won the title in 2005.

* Newburgh 9, Gibbsboro 4: Newburgh scored five runs in the top of the first inning and belted 13 hits to beat Gibbsboro at Vestal High.

Newburgh shortstop Rick Pacione went 3-for-4, scored two runs, and had a RBI. Teammates John Degroodt and Josh Depew each added two hits and a RBI.

* East Greenbush 5, Gibbsboro 3: East Greenbush\’s Max Keado and Joseph Faziolo each had two-run hits in the seventh inning as East Greenbush rallied for the victory over Gibbsboro at Vestal High.

* Hamilton 6, Haddon Heights 5: Haddon Heights committed six straight errors in the second inning enabling Hamilton to score five unearned runs in the six-run inning at Maine-Endwell High.

The lone earned run was driven in by Corey Radice to make it 6-0.

The victory put Hamilton atop Division I and clinched a spot in the quarterfinals.

Post 1645 had a chance to crack the eight-team quarterfinal bracket, but first-place Haddon Heights lost to Hamilton, 6-5, at Maine-Endwell High later in the day. That left three teams with a 3-1 record in Division I with the top two teams in each of the four divisions advancing.

The first tiebreaker is runs allowed. Hamilton gave up 14; Haddon Heights 25; and Post 1645, 27. World Youth Classic Scores and Standings

Obit Joseph Olsen, of Gloucester City

On July 3, 2007. Age 76. Of Gloucester City. Loving Brother of Elizabeth R. St. John of Gloucester City, Teresa Cooper of Salem and Virginia Cannan of Blackwood. Beloved uncle of Elizabeth St. John, Dona Ogborn, Mary Patterson, James Patterson, Joseph Cooper and John Patterson. Devoted great-uncle of Robert St. John, Michael St. John, Officer Anthony DiPatri and Stephan Juhas.

Joseph was born and raised in Philadelphia. He was a resident of Gloucester City for the last 8 years. Joseph was a devoted parishioner of Saint Mary\’s R.C. Church in Gloucester City.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend his visitation on Wednesday morning from 10 to 11 am at Saint Mary\’s R.C. Church: 426 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City, NJ 08030. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 am in the church. Inurnment Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill. There will be no evening visitation and no visitation at the funeral home. Kathleen (nee Woodworth) Sisco, GCHS Alum, Class of 1963

Kathleen M. Sisco (nee Woodworth) ….On July 12, 2007 went Home to Heaven one day after her 62 Birthday of Gloucester City. Formerly of Bellmawr. Loving daughter of the late Sarah \”Sadie\” Woodworth (nee Wall). Beloved mother of Jill R. Ruggieri and husband John of Bellmawr and Ted F. Sisco and his wife Loretta of Westville. Cherished mom-mom of Jack and Jason Ruggieri. Dear Sister of Stan Woodworth and his wife Beverly of Moorestown.

Kathleen was a longtime resident of Gloucester City and was a 1963 Graduate of Gloucester Catholic High School. She lived many years in Bellmawr and worked as a claims processor at CIGNA Insurance in Voorhees until 1993. Kathleen was very devoted to her family and had many wonderful friendships throughout her entire life.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend her viewing on Monday Evening from 7 to 9 pm and Tuesday morning from 9 am to 10 am at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME: 851 Monmouth Street, (at Brown Street) Gloucester City.
