A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, Gloucester City for John P. O’Donnell, 90, who died on November 4, 2008.
Beloved husband of Jackie (nee Fay). Loving father of J. Patrick O’Donnell (Donna) of Cherry Hill, Joanne O’Conner (Martin) of Gloucester, Joe O’Donnell (Bettyann) of West Deptford. Devoted grandfather of Marty, Erin, Meghan, Patrick, Jeanette, John, Michael, Joey and Kelly. Devoted great-grandfather of Charlotte, Jack and Reef. Dear brother of Marguerite Yusk of Pennsauken; Ann Theresa Taylor (Bill) of Ardmore, PA and sister-in-law Charlotte O’Donnell (the late Joseph) of Maple Shade.
A life-long resident of Gloucester, John was a Coast Guard Veteran of WWII who owned and operated O’Donnell’s Restaurant in Gloucester for over 47 years.
Interment New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr.
In lieu of flowers contributions in John’s memory may be made to St. Mary’s Church, 426 Monmouth St. Gloucester City, NJ 08030.
