On September 18, 2009. Age 96. Of Gloucester City. In the loving care of his cherished wife of 77 years, Mary E. (nee Maul). Beloved father of Mary Lou Stone (William) of Gloucester City, Louis Stief (Fran) of Gloucester City, Susan Collison (Hank) of Warminster, PA and the late Jack L. Stief and his late wife Dolly.
Devoted grandfather of 8, great-grandfather of 13, and 2 great-grandchildren on the way and the late Louis D. Stief. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Louis was born in Philadelphia, PA and was a resident of Gloucester City since 1964. He was a stevedore and member of the International Longshoreman Local Union # 1242 in Philadelphia, PA for 34 years.
Louis loved to watch all the Philadelphia Sports Teams and enjoyed the racetrack.
Relatives, friends and union members are kindly invited to attend his viewing on Wednesday morning from 10 am to 11:30 at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME: 851 Monmouth Street, (at Brown Street) Gloucester City. Family Eulogy will be 11:30 am in the funeral home. Rite of Committal and Interment New Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr. No Evening Viewing.
