Bellmawr Fire Department: Iron and Steel

Bellmawr — Two weeks before the ninth anniversary of 9/11, firefighters lined up on highway overpasses Saturday to salute a motorcade escorting steel beams recovered from the World Trade Center to Arlington, Va.

The daylong procession was the third run delivering steel from ground zero to be sponsored by the New York Fire Department\’s Fire Family Transport Foundation, the Iron and Steel Team of motorcyclists and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.

Units from the Bellmawr Fire Department covered three major highway overpasses. The members were proud to be a part of such a honorable event.
