NOTE: Gloucester City recently announced it is phasing out the local UEZ and is turning over the program to a new group of seven volunteers named the Gloucester City Economic Development Corp. We thought it would be interesting to look back at some of the various development plans that have been used/proposed by the James Administration in the last six years, such as this marketing idea (below) that was posted on CNBNews five years ago, January 29, 2008. Gloucester City: Plans Call For a Irish-Themed Village of Shops and Restaurants
In an effort to further revitalize the Gloucester City waterfront, Mayor and Council are currently looking for developers and builders who want to play a part in the effort.
The City has most recently issued a Request for Qualifications for developers and builders that are interested in enhancing the housing/business stock along the City\’s waterfront area.
