LINCOLN, Neb. – Rutgers wasn\’t surprised by anything that happened today against Nebraska. Disappointed? Yes. Head coach Kyle Flood acknowledged as much in the immediate aftermath of the 42-24 loss to the No. 16-ranked Cornhuskers before a crowd of 91,088 at Memorial Stadium.
But surprised?
Flood and his players already had an idea of how unforgiving the road through the Big Ten can be. Flawless, mistake-free football is a must. One week ago at Ohio State was the program\’s first lesson in that.
