Gloucester Township Officers Arrest Suspect for Eluding Police Following Traffic Stop 4-13-2026

On 04/08/26 at approximately 11:33pm, a Gloucester Township Police Officer attempted to conduct a motor vehicle stop on a white Acura for motor vehicle violations on the 600 block of North Black Horse Pike in the Blackwood section of Gloucester Township.  Upon activating emergency lights, the vehicle initially pulled over to the side of the road, and the female driver appeared to wave her documents out the window.  As the Officer was about to approach the vehicle, the driver accelerated from the stop at a high rate of speed traveling southbound.  The Officer chose not to pursue in the interest of safety to the public.

A follow-up investigation confirmed that the identity of the driver was the registered owner, Michelle Papaycik, who was later charged with Eluding Law Enforcement, 3rd degree, and issued multiple summonses for motor vehicle violations.  On 04/13/26, Papaycik was located and arrested by Officers.  She was processed and remanded
to Camden County Correctional Facility.

Arrest: Michelle Papaycik, 38, of the 200 block of Washington Avenue, Blackwood, NJ.
