The Philadelphia Police Department is investigating an unusual incident involving an injured child that occurred Tuesday evening in the city’s 26th District.
At approximately 6:38 p.m., officers responded to a private residence on the 2200 block of North 7th Street following reports of a fall. Preliminary investigations determined that a 4-year-old male sustained injuries after falling from a third-floor apartment window.
The child was initially transported via private vehicle to Temple University Hospital. He is currently being transferred to St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, where he is listed in stable condition.
The scene is currently being held for processing. The investigation remains active and is being conducted by the Special Victims Unit (SVU).
