Several roadway projects will be underway across Camden County during the week of April 20 to April 24.
“Motorists should plan ahead to take alternate routes and give themselves plenty of time to get to their destinations,” said Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works. “Also, remember that when you’re traveling through a construction area, please slow down and stay alert for crew members and debris.”
Audubon
PSE&G will be working on East Atlantic Avenue from Monday, April 20 to Friday, April 24, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a partial road eastbound between West Merchant Street & Dowling Avenue, a partial road closure eastbound between Chestnut Street & West Vassar Road.
Camden
- Crews will be working on Haddon Avenue from Monday, April 20 to Friday, April 24, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Newton Avenue & Euclid Avenue, and a full road closure between Division Street & Mt. Vernon Street.
- Crews will be working on Ferry Avenue on Tuesday, April 21, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be a lane shift at the intersection with Atlantic Avenue.
Cherry Hill
Crews will be working on Kresson Road from Monday, April 20 to Friday, April 24, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. There will be a full road closure between Springdale Road & Browning Lane.
Collingswood
- Crews will be working on Park Avenue from Monday, April 20 to Friday, April 24, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be a full road closure and sidewalk closures between Dill Avenue & Ogden Avenue.
- Crews will be working on Haddon Avenue on Friday, April 24, from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be partial road closure eastbound at the intersection with Woodlawn Avenue.
Gibbsboro
Crews will be working on United States Avenue & Foster Avenue from Monday, April 20 to Thursday, April 23, from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. There will be a full road closure of United States Avenue between Lakeview Drive South & Berlin Road and a full road closure of Foster Avenue between United States Avenue & Clementon Road.
Gloucester City
Crews will be working on Nicholson Road on Monday, April 20 and Wednesday, April 22, from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Cornell Avenue & Yale Avenue.
Gloucester Township
Crews will be working on Evesham Road from Monday, April 20 to Friday, April 24, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a partial road closure eastbound between West Clements Bridge Road (Route 41) in Runnemede & Black Horse Pike in Gloucester Township.
Haddon Township
Crews will be working on Collings Avenue from Wednesday, April 22 to Friday, April 24, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Lynne Avenue & Champion Avenue.
Oaklyn
Crews will be working on Newton Avenue from Monday, April 20 to Friday, April 24, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be a full road closure between West Collingswood Avenue & West Lakeview Avenue.
Pennsauken
PSE&G will be working on Lexington Avenue on Monday, April 20, from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Wisteria Avenue & Magnolia Avenue.
Pine Hill
Crews will be working on West Branch Avenue from Monday, April 20 to Friday, April 24, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be a partial road closure eastbound between Blackwood-Clementon Road & Erial Road.
Runnemede
Crews will be working on Evesham Road from Monday, April 20 to Friday, April 24, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a partial road closure eastbound between West Clements Bridge Road (Route 41) in Runnemede & Black Horse Pike in Gloucester Township.
Somerdale
Crews will be working on Ogg Avenue on Thursday, April 23, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Nokomis Road & Navajo Road.
Voorhees
- Crews will be working on White Horse Road on Monday, April 20, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. There will be lane closures between Haddonfield-Berlin Road & Springdale Road.
- Crews will be working on White Horse Road from Monday, April 20 to Friday, April 24, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a partial road closure northbound between Laurel Oak Road & Burnt Mill Road.
- Crews will be working on Kresson-Gibbsboro Road on Wednesday, April 22, from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be a partial road closure eastbound between Kresson-Gibbsboro Rd and Cooper Road.
Winslow Township
- Crews will be working on Mays Landing Road from Monday, April 20 to Friday, April 24, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be a partial road closure northbound between Old Albertson Road & the Atlantic County Line.
- Crews will be working on New Brooklyn Road from Tuesday, April 21 to Friday, April 24, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a partial road closure southbound between Norcross Road & Lakedale Road followed by a full road closure between Lakedale Road & North Grove Street.
The Camden County Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining over 1,200 miles of county roadway, over 200 bridges and several dams. They are dedicated to making our area safer for motorists and pedestrians through county highway construction projects and road maintenance, including pothole repairs, street sweeping, grass cutting and storm drainage upkeep. The Public Works Department is located in Lindenwold where personnel are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to serve the residents of Camden County.
