Several roadway projects will be underway across Camden County from May 26 to May 29.
“Motorists should plan ahead to take alternate routes and give themselves plenty of time to get to their destinations,” said Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works. “Also, remember that when you’re traveling through a construction area, please slow down and stay alert for crew members and debris.”
Audubon
PSE&G will be working on East Atlantic Avenue from Tuesday, May 26, to Friday, May 29, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. There will be a partial road closure eastbound, between West Merchant Street & Dowling Avenue, and a partial road closure eastbound, between Chestnut Street & West Vassar Road.
Barrington
PSE&G will be working on Copley Road on Thursday, May 28, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a partial road closure westbound, between Warwick Road & Mercer Drive.
Berlin Borough
Crews will be working on North Park Drive on Wednesday, May 27 and Thursday, May 28, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between White Horse Pike & Berlin Cross Keys Road.
Camden
- New Jersey American Water will be working on Marlton Pike & Baird Boulevard on Wednesday, May 27, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a partial road closure northbound on Baird Boulevard between Marlton Pike & Grand Avenue.
- Crews will be working on Ferry Avenue from Tuesday, May 26, to Friday, May 29, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be a lane shift at the intersection with Mt. Ephraim Avenue.
- Crews will be working on Haddon Avenue from Tuesday, May 26, to Friday, May 29, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a lane closure between Market Street and Cooper Street.
- Crews will be working on Haddon Avenue from Tuesday, May 26, to Friday, May 29, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Newton Avenue & Walnut Avenue, and a full road closure between Chestnut Street & Kaighn Avenue.
- PSE&G will be working on Federal Street on Wednesday, May 27, from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a lane shift between South Dudley Street & South 31st Street.
- Crews will be working on Market Street from Wednesday, May 27, to Friday, May 29, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a lane shift between North 8th Street & North 10th Street including the Route 676 exit ramp.
- Crews will be working on North 27th Street on Thursday, May 28 from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a partial road closure eastbound between River Avenue & Garfield Avenue.
- Crews will be working on Newton Avenue on Thursday, May 28 and Friday, May 29, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between South 4th Street & Broadway.
Cherry Hill
- New Jersey American Water will be working on Kresson Road from Tuesday, May 26, to Friday, May 29. On Tuesday, there will be a partial road closure westbound between Cropwell Road & Springdale Road from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, there will be a full road closure between Cropwell Road & Evesham Road from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Collingswood
· Crews will be working on Park Avenue from Tuesday, May 26, to Friday, May 29, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure and sidewalk closures between Dill Avenue & Ogden Avenue.
· PSE&G will be working on Haddon Avenue on Wednesday, May 27, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. there will be a lane with no parking between Woodlawn Avenue & Collings Avenue.
Gibbsboro
Crews will be working on United States Avenue and Foster Avenue from Tuesday, May 26, to Friday, May 29, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. There will be a full road closure of United States Avenue between Lakeview Drive South & Berlin Road and a full road closure of Foster Avenue between United States Avenue & Clementon Road.
Gloucester Township
- Crews will be working on Evesham Road on Tuesday, May 26, and Wednesday, May 27 29, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be a there will be a full road closure between West Clements Bridge Road (Route 41) in Runnemede & Schubert Avenue in Gloucester Township.
- South Jersey Gas will be working on Evesham Road on Thursday, May 28 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Station Avenue & Airline Avenue in Gloucester Township.
Haddonfield
PSE&G will be working on Avondale Avenue on Thursday, May 28, from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a full road closure between West Redman Avenue & West Euclid Avenue.
Oaklyn
PSE&G will be working on Newton Avenue from Tuesday, May 26, to Friday, May 29, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between West Lakeview Avenue & West Collingswood Avenue.
Pine Hill
Crews will be working on West Branch Avenue from Tuesday, May 26, to Friday, May 29, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a partial road closure eastbound between Blackwood-Clementon Road & Erial Road.
Runnemede
- Crews will be working on Evesham Road on Tuesday, May 26, and Wednesday, May 27 29, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be a there will be a full road closure between West Clements Bridge Road (Route 41) in Runnemede & Schubert Avenue in Gloucester Township.

- Crews will be working on Sicklerville Road from Tuesday, May 26, to Friday, May 29 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Camden County Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining over 1,200 miles of county roadway, over 200 bridges and several dams. They are dedicated to making our area safer for motorists and pedestrians through county highway construction projects and road maintenance, including pothole repairs, street sweeping, grass cutting and storm drainage upkeep. The Public Works Department is located in Lindenwold where personnel are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to serve the residents of Camden County.
