CBP Officers, K9 Nitro Seize $44K in Unreported Currency from Mexico-Bound Traveler

PHILADELPHIA – U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers seized over $44,000 in unreported currency after a currency detector dog alerted to a passenger boarding a flight to Cancun, Mexico at Philadelphia International Airport on April 30.

CBP officers were conducting outbound enforcement when K9 Nitro, a 3-year-old male chocolate Labrador retriever trained to detect bulk currency, firearms, and ammunition, alerted to a 54-year-old man. Officers advised the traveler of federal currency reporting laws and asked the man how much currency he possessed. The man declared verbally, and in writing, that he had $10,000.

West Deptford Man Charged Possessing Child Sexual Abuse Material 

Woodbury, NJ – Ralph C. Foy, 40, of West Deptford, was arrested and charged with  possession of child sexual abuse material and creating deepfake or AI-generated  child sexual abuse material on Tuesday, Prosecutor Andrew B. Johns announced.  

According to documents filed in this case: 

The Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office received a tip from the National Center  for Missing and Exploited Children about an individual uploading child sexual  abuse material (CSAM). An investigation led to the execution of a search warrant at  Foy’s residence where digital media items were seized. Forensic analysis found 76  CSAM images on Foy’s personal cellphone. Additionally, investigators found several  other images of a minor victim that had been digitally manipulated using artificial  intelligence to convert otherwise appropriate photographs into nude images.

Bill Protecting Restaurants & Patrons from Unauthorized Reservation Services Signed into Law

Legislation sponsored by Assemblyman William Sampson, Assemblywoman Katie Brennan, and Assemblyman Clinton Calabrese to protect restaurants and patrons from unauthorized third-party reservation services was signed into law today.

Bill A3318 will prohibit third-party restaurant reservation services from advertising, listing, promoting, or selling reservations for a food service establishment without a written agreement from the establishment. The measure is intended to prevent outside services from profiting off restaurants without consent or transparency.

Wanted: Suspect for Assault in the 18th District

The Philadelphia Police Department needs your help:

The police are investigating an assault that occurred on April 22nd, 2026 in University City. Around 11:00 PM, a female was confronted by a male inside a store along the 4000 block of Market Street. The argument escalates and the male spits on the woman and begins punching her in the face before leaving the scene in an unknown direction. The female victim suffered several injuries.

DNREC Announces June 6 and 7 Will be Free Fishing Days in Delaware Waters

DNREC encourages Delawareans and visitors alike to celebrate National Fishing and Boating Week (June 6-14) with two days of free fishing in the state Saturday, June 6 and Sunday, June 7. On these two days anglers may fish, crab and clam in any Delaware waters without possessing a 2026 fishing license.
