
The Philadelphia Police Department is actively investigating three separate incidents that occurred across the city over the last 24 hours, leaving one man dead and two others injured.
The first incident took place on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at approximately 10:38 PM, when 26th District officers responded to a domestic stabbing on the 2000 block of North 6th Street; a 42-year-old male victim reported that a verbal dispute over a charger escalated until his 16-year-old son stabbed him in the arm. The father was transported by police to Temple University Hospital in stable condition, and the juvenile suspect was taken into custody by the East Detective Division, with formal charges pending.
Hours later, on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 1:46 AM, 25th District officers responded to a report of a person shot at a vacant lot on the 3200 block of N. Fairhill Street, where they discovered a 27-year-old male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his body. He was transported to Temple University Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 2:11 AM. The Homicide Unit is currently seeking a motive and suspects, as no arrests have been made.
Finally, later that morning, police responded to Lankenau Hospital after a 19-year-old male arrived at the emergency room with a gunshot wound to his right leg. The victim, who is in stable condition, stated the shooting occurred in an alleyway off the 900 block of Kenmore Road, prompting an investigation by the Shooting Investigation Group that successfully located a primary crime scene on the 6500 block of Lebanon Avenue and physical evidence on Kenmore Road; authorities are currently searching for a suspect described as a Black male wearing all-black clothing and a black ski mask.
