The Philadelphia Police Department’s Homicide Unit is actively investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Sunday evening in the city’s 15th Police District.
On June 7, 2026, at approximately 4:58 p.m., police responded to reports of gunfire on the highway along the 5198 block of Princeton Avenue. Upon arriving at the scene, first responders located an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Medic 47 personnel pronounced the victim deceased on location at 5:07 p.m.
The identity of the victim is being withheld at this time pending family notification.
Investigators are currently working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. There have been no arrests made, and no motives have been established at this time.
