The Philadelphia Police Department’s Crash Investigation Division is investigating two separate fatal traffic incidents that occurred on Saturday, June 20, 2026. Both collisions involved motorists who remained on the scene, resulting in the tragic deaths of an unidentified E-Bike operator and a 62-year-old pedestrian.

Fatal Auto vs. E-Bike Crash in the 18th District
At approximately 2:16 PM, officers from the 18th District responded to a severe traffic collision at the intersection of 58th Street and Pine Street. A preliminary investigation indicates that a black 2015 Chrysler 300, operated by a 48-year-old female, was traveling eastbound on Pine Street with a green light. At the same time, an unidentified male operating an E-Bike was traveling northbound on 58th Street. The E-Bike operator traveled through a red light at the intersection and was struck by the Chrysler. The 48-year-old driver remained at the location. Emergency medical personnel arrived shortly after, and the E-Bike operator was pronounced deceased at the scene at 2:22 PM. The victim carried no identification and is currently listed as a John Doe.
Fatal Auto vs. Pedestrian Crash in the 7th District
Earlier in the day, at approximately 10:39 AM, a fatal auto-versus-pedestrian collision occurred in the 7th District at the intersection of Roosevelt Boulevard and South Hampton Road. Investigators determined that a black 2015 Ford Taurus, driven by a 21-year-old male, was traveling southbound on Roosevelt Boulevard with a green light. A 62-year-old male pedestrian attempted to cross Roosevelt Boulevard eastbound on foot, moving against the red light. The Ford Taurus struck the pedestrian. The 21-year-old driver remained on the scene. Medic 20 transported the critically injured pedestrian to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, where he was unfortunately pronounced deceased at 11:16 AM.
