Several roadway projects will be underway across Camden County during the week of July 27 to August 1.
“Motorists should plan ahead to take alternate routes and give themselves plenty of time to get to their destinations,” said Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works. “Also, remember that when you’re traveling through a construction area, please slow down and stay alert for crew members and debris.”
Audubon
Crews will be working on East Atlantic Avenue on Monday, July 27, to Friday, July 31, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. There will be a partial eastbound road closure between West Merchant Street in Audubon and Station Avenue in Haddon Heights.
Camden
· PSE&G will be working on 2735 Federal Street on Monday, July 27, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be a partial westbound road closure between North 27th Street and Leonard Avenue.
· Crews will be working on Newton Avenue on Monday, July 27 to Friday, July 31, from 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There be full road closure between Chestnut Street and the Kaighn Avenue/South 4th Street intersection.
· Crews will be working on Haddon Avenue on Monday, July 27 to Friday, July 31, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be lane closures between Federal Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
· Crews will be working on Haddon Avenue on Monday, July 27 to Friday, July 31, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Newton Avenue and Mt. Vernon Street, lane closures between Chestnut Street and Wildwood Avenue, and lane closures at the intersection with Newton Avenue.
· Crews will be working on Haddon Avenue on Monday, July 27, to Saturday, August 1, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. There will be a partial road closure northbound between Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Cooper Plaza.
Cherry Hill
· Crews will be working on Kenilworth Avenue on Monday, July 27, to Friday, July 31, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Route 38 and Helena Avenue.
· Crews will be working on Kresson Road on Monday, July 27, to Thursday, July 30, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a combination of lane shifts, lane closures, and alternating traffic between Heartwood Drive and Middle Acre Lane.
· Crews will be working on Kresson Road on Monday, July 27, to Friday, July 31, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a partial westbound road closure between Cropwell Road and Cooper Run Drive.
Gibbsboro
· Crews will be working on United States Avenue and Foster Avenue on Monday, July 27, to Friday, July 31, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. There will be a full road closure of United States Avenue between Lakeview Drive South and Berlin Road, and a full road closure of Foster Avenue between United States Avenue and Clementon Road.
· Crews will be working on Clementon Road East on Wednesday, July 29, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a partial northbound road closure on Haddon Avenue (municipal) between Clementon Road East and Washington Street.
Gloucester Township
Crews will be working on Evesham Road on Monday, July 27, to Friday, July 31, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be a partial eastbound road closure between Schubert Avenue and Black Horse Pike.
Haddon Heights
Crews will be working on East Atlantic Avenue on Monday, July 27, to Friday, July 31, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. There will be a partial eastbound road closure between West Merchant Street in Audubon and Station Avenue in Haddon Heights.
Haddonfield
- Crews will be working on North Haddon Avenue on Monday, July 27, to Friday, July 31, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. On Monday, there will be a full road closure between Hawthorne Avenue and Merion Avenue. On Tuesday, there will be a full road closure between East Mt. Vernon Avenue and East Redman Avenue. On Wednesday, there will be a full road closure between East Redman Avenue and Hopkins Avenue. On Thursday and Friday, there will be a full road closure between Windsor Avenue and East Euclid Avenue.
Oaklyn
· PSE&G will be working on Kendall Boulevard on Tuesday, July 28, to Friday, July 31, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Washington Avenue and Congress Avenue.
· PSE&G will be working on Congress Avenue on Monday, July 27, to Friday, July 31, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be there will be a full road closure between Manor Avenue & Kendall Boulevard.
· PSE&G will be working on West Clinton Avenue on Tuesday, July 28, to Friday, July 31, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Kendall Boulevard and White Horse Pike.
· PSE&G will be working on Manor Avenue on Friday, July 31, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between West Oakland Avenue and the VFW (dead end).
Winslow Township
· Crews will be working on Sicklerville Road on Monday, July 27, to Friday, July 31, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a 24/7 full road closure between Andrews Road and Erial Road.
· Crews will be working on Mays Landing Road on Monday, July 27, to Friday, July 31, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a partial northbound road closure between Old Albertson Road and the Atlantic County Line.
The Camden County Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining over 1,200 miles of county roadway, over 200 bridges and several dams. They are dedicated to making our area safer for motorists and pedestrians through county highway construction projects and road maintenance, including pothole repairs, street sweeping, grass cutting and storm drainage upkeep. The Public Works Department is located in Lindenwold where personnel are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to serve the residents of Camden County.
