Borough of Westville Planning Multi-purpose Facility Building

We’ve seen some great questions coming in about the new multipurpose building that a couple of our council members have mentioned being excited about and we want to share some of the exciting details with you!

To be completely upfront, this has been a long road. We are currently in the final stages of a lengthy paperwork process that has involved cutting through a massive amount of red tape, choosing the right people for the job, and navigating many, many design changes.

We have been working hand-in-hand with the different agencies involved to ensure they have every single thing they will need in their respective sections.

Because we are working through these final bureaucratic steps, we do not have an exact timeline as to when construction will officially begin or be completed. However, we are incredibly excited to finally bring this much-needed upgrade to our community!

The facility will feature a large central vehicle bay splitting the building down the middle, with dedicated service sections on each side:

Section 1: Volunteer Fire Department – Providing a modern, efficient home base for our dedicated local volunteer firefighters.

Section 2: Sheriff’s Office Substation – A dedicated base for deputies working the area to increase local presence (note: this is a part-time substation, not a 24/7 manned station).

Section 3: EMS Quarters – A major, much-needed upgrade from their current quarters to better support our local emergency medical teams.

Section 4: Health Clinic – Providing vital medical care and health resources right here in the community.

We are proud to invest in the safety, health, and peace of mind of every resident in Westville, and we truly appreciate your patience and support as we work through the final stretch of planning!
