A powerful symbol of hope recently found a new home at Jefferson Health’s Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center (SKCCC) in Washington Township. Created by acclaimed speed painter Jessica Haas during the Philadelphia Eagles’ 2025 Crucial Catch Game halftime show, this one-of-a-kind painting features the Eagles’ iconic logo and a multicolored cancer awareness ribbon, painted by five Jefferson cancer survivors. Each survivor added a brushstroke in the color representing the type of cancer they overcame. Now displayed in the SKCCC lobby, the artwork serves as a daily reminder of the strength of those affected by cancer and the lifesaving importance of early detection.
“We want patients and their loved ones to feel supported from the moment they walk through our doors,” said DeAnnette Stanton-Cross, Director of Cancer Services for Jefferson Health–East Region. “This painting celebrates the courage of cancer survivors while reminding us that early detection can save lives. We hope it encourages conversations about screening and inspires people to take that important first step.”
As the Philadelphia Eagles’ Official Health System Partner, Jefferson is proud to help advance cancer awareness and encourage everyone to stay up to date on recommended cancer screenings. Every screening has the potential to save a life. Learn more at JeffersonHealth.org/cancer.
