On Friday, October 9, 2026, at approximately 11:34 p.m., Highway Patrol and 22nd District officers responded to a report of a person with a gun and a shooting on the 2500 block of North Colorado Street.
Upon arrival, officers located a 26-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds to the face and right calf. Officers transported him to Temple University Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
A short time later, a second victim, a 38-year-old male, arrived at Temple University Hospital by private vehicle with a gunshot wound to his left hand. He was also listed in stable condition.
Responding officers recovered six fired cartridge casings and one projectile at the scene. Two vehicles were also struck by gunfire.
No arrests have been made, and the motive remains unknown. The investigation is ongoing with the Shooting Investigation Group.
