On Monday, November 2, 2026, at approximately 9:10 a.m., a pedestrian was struck by a SEPTA trolley at the intersection of 45th Street and Chester Avenue.
The pedestrian was jogging southbound on 45th Street when they were struck by a Trolley going eastbound on Chester ave.
The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene at 9:28 a.m.
The identity of the female pedestrian remains unknown at the time of this release.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
