O’Connor has worked in the Gloucester City School District for more than 38 years, serving as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal.
Martin even met his wife, Joanne, then a second grade teacher, through his work with the local schools.
The student representatives were Christy Levandowski from Mary Ethel Costello, Adele Robinson from Cold Springs, and Brandon Blackiston from Gloucester High.
Blackiston, a senior, said that the 2010 Thanksgiving Day Drive, run by the candidates of the National Junior High Honor Society, was a success, with the collection of 30 baskets of goods for the homeless.
