GLOUCESTER CITY NJ May 22, 2015 (CNBNews.net)–On May 18, 2015 at 2026 officers
responded to the Family Dollar for a shoplifting. An employee advised that an unknown white male stole a carton of cigarettes and fled the store. An officer located the suspect on Koehler Street and the suspect immediately began to flee on foot. The officer chased the male through the area and caught up with him in the rear yard of a residence on Koehler Street. The male attempted to force entry into the residence and broke the rear door frame while doing so. As officers approached the male began to fight with officers and refused to handcuffed. After a brief struggle the male was subdued and placed under arrest. Kirk Stuart (38) of the 900 block of Koehler Street was charged with Shoplifting, Resisting Arrest and Eluding on foot. He was turned over to the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Department on an outstanding warrant.
