GLOUCESTER COUNTY NJ (October 3, 2015)–A 67-year-old husband and his 72-year old wife have died this morning in what appears to be a murder-suicide in the couple\’s 200 Idlewood Way home in the Heritage age-restricted community in Deptford Township NJ.
Police received a 911 call at 8:17 a.m. today from the husband about a shooting in the residence. When officers arrived, both husband and wife were mortally wounded. The man was transported to the Inspira Hospital in Woodbury and pronounced dead there at 9a.m. The woman was taken to Cooper Medical Center in Camden and pronounced dead there at 9:29 a.m.
Attempts are under way to contact family members. The incident is being investigated by the Gloucester County Prosecutor\’s Office and the Deptford Township Police Department.
The Heritage housing development is a community limited to homeowners over age 55.
