On Saturday, the Camden County Board of Commissioners and Visit South Jersey will host the fifth annual Down and Derby Wine Festival on Saturday, May 2 at Veterans Island in Cooper River Park.
The festival has become a popular tradition in Camden County, bringing together South Jersey’s best wine, live entertainment, and Kentucky Derby-inspired activities and fanfare.
Attendees will have the opportunity to sample wines from 13 award-winning South Jersey wineries, enjoy a variety of food trucks, and take part in Derby-themed fashion and activities. Live music will be provided throughout the day by GoodMan Fiske Band and The Lally Brothers Band.
“The Down and Derby Wine Festival captures the spirit of the Kentucky Derby and showcases all of the wonderful food and wine offerings the South Jersey region has to offer,” said Commissioner Jeffrey Nash. “It is the perfect way to kick off the warmer months, and I encourage all of our residents to join us at Veterans Island on Saturday.”
Visit South Jersey is a nonprofit agency serving the South Jersey region, who, along with the New Jersey Department of State Division of Travel and Tourism, county partners, businesses, and tourism stakeholders, works to create awareness of tourism opportunities in South Jersey.
