Philadelphia Police Report the Following Incidents

June 4, 2026 — The Philadelphia Police Department is investigating three separate overnight incidents, including two shootings that left four people injured and a traffic accident involving a police officer directing traffic near Citizens Bank Park. All information is preliminary and subject to change as investigations continue.

Triple Shooting Under Investigation in 24th District

Early Thursday morning, at approximately 2:07 a.m., 24th District officers responded to a radio call reporting a person with a gun outside the 600 block of East Wishart Street. Upon arrival, police located an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his back. Officers immediately transported the victim to Temple University Hospital, where he remains in critical condition. Shortly after, two additional adult male gunshot victims arrived at Episcopal Hospital via private vehicle. One man sustained a gunshot wound to his left arm, while the other was shot in his left wrist; both are currently listed in stable condition. No arrests have been made, and a motive has not yet been determined. The Shooting Investigation Group is actively investigating the incident.

Scooter-Riding Suspects Wound 20-Year-Old in 22nd District

On Wednesday evening, at approximately 9:45 p.m., 22nd District officers responded to a report of a shooting on the 3000 block of West Susquehanna Avenue. Officers arrived to find a 20-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to his left thigh. Police transported him to Temple University Hospital’s emergency room, where he is listed in stable condition. Preliminary findings indicate the victim was standing outside with two other individuals when they observed two unidentified males traveling westbound on Susquehanna Avenue on electric scooters. The suspects briefly turned northbound on 31st Street before returning to the corner of 31st and Susquehanna, where they opened fire. The victim was struck in the leg as he attempted to duck between parked cars. No arrests have been made, no motive has been established, and the Shooting Investigation Group is leading the ongoing investigation.

Police Officer Struck by Vehicle During Phillies Detail

Earlier on Wednesday night, at approximately 9:19 p.m., a traffic accident involving a police officer occurred in the 3rd District at 1000 Packer Avenue. A 33-year-old male operating a 2018 white Subaru struck a police officer who was on foot, redirecting traffic for a Phillies detail. The impact caused the officer to strike the vehicle’s windshield and roof. Philadelphia Fire Department medics transported the officer to Jefferson Hospital, where he is listed as stable. The driver of the Subaru remained at the scene, and the investigation into the crash is ongoing with the Crash Investigation Division.
