Sluggball, a new baseball-inspired hitting competition, will host its inaugural All-Star Classic featuring retired Phillies legends in a fast-paced 4-on-4 exhibition – no fielding, no baserunning, just hitting.
Charlie Manuel and Larry Bowa will manage the two competing teams that feature Cole Hamels, Mike Lieberthal, Joe Blanton, Aaron Rowand, Kenny Lofton, Mickey Morandini and Sluggball co-founder Ruben Amaro Jr.
Each batter gets eight swings or 35 seconds per at-bat, aiming for designated zones of the field (pull side, up the middle, opposite field, around the horn).
Proceeds of the event will benefit The Darren Daulton Foundation and the Ruben Amaro Sr. Foundation.

Sluggball is a 4-on-4 hitting competition created for anyone who has ever played baseball and wants to compete. There is no fielding and no baserunning. Instead, players step into the batter’s box, take their swings, and compete through a fast-moving format built around situational hitting and strategic scoring.
