Rt 322 left shoulder closures to remain in place through October 30

The long-term left shoulder closures on Route 322 eastbound and westbound between Route 130 and Mechanic Street will remain in place through Thursday, October 29 and Friday, October 30, respectively, in Logan Township, Gloucester County. The left shoulder closures were expected to reopen on Thursday, October 8 and Friday, October 9, respectively, but have been extended due to inclement weather and other factors.

Route 322 eastbound Left Lane Closure

Beginning at 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 28 until 6 a.m. Thursday, October 29, the left lane on Route 322 eastbound is scheduled to be closed. The lane closure is necessary to remove construction barrier and reopen the left shoulder.

Route 322 westbound Left Lane Closure

Beginning at 8 p.m. Thursday, October 29 until 6 a.m. Friday, October 30, the left lane on Route 322 westbound is scheduled to be closed. The lane closure is necessary to remove construction barrier and reopen the left shoulder.

At least one lane will be maintained while a lane closure is implemented, and two lanes are expected to remain open while the long-term left shoulder closures are in place. Motorists are advised to slow down, use caution and expect delays when traveling through the work zone.

This work is part of a $6.3 million federally funded contract that will replace guiderail and attenuators at various locations throughout Burlington, Camden, Cumberland, Gloucester and Salem counties.

Guiderail and attenuator replacement ensures the strength and reliability of transportation infrastructure to protect vehicles from exiting the roadway in the event of a crash or emergency, improving passenger safety.
