Sayreville, NJ – The New Jersey Children’s Alliance (NJCA) recently honored a veteran member of the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office for her outstanding work in child advocacy.

Assistant Prosecutor Rachael Minardi, who serves as the Section Chief of the Special Victims Unit (SVU), received the 2026 NJCA Hero for Children Award. The award recognizes an exceptional child advocacy professional who has made significant contributions to protecting the best interests of abused and neglected children throughout the state of New Jersey.

The NJCA supports Child Advocacy Centers in New Jersey by providing training, resources, advocacy, and leadership to ensure all child abuse victims receive comprehensive, coordinated services.

Assistant Prosecutor Minardi’s leadership, professionalism, and steadfast advocacy remind us that this work requires not only legal expertise, but also courage, empathy, and an unwavering belief that every child deserves to be safe, protected, and given the opportunity to thrive. She received the award on October 15, 2026, during an NJCA event at the Middlesex County Fire Academy.
