Fishermen Are In A Spot

Once again fishermen are in a spot where they have to fight for their rights to pursue their sport in saltwater. Gary Caputi is a dedicated saltwater fishermen and also the Corporate Relations Director for the Recreational Fishing Alliance (RFA). In an article in last week\’s Fisherman Magazine, Caputi reveals how a proposition called Oceans-21 (H.R.2) is going to tragically harm the recreational fisherman of this country. According to Jim Donofrio, Executive Director of the RFA, it is just another issue that comes from the extreme anti-fishing radicals in an effort to do critical harm to the recreational community (that\’s you and me). It will do so by adding a lot more regulations to the fishery management process and at the same time, give a diminishing role and input of fishermen into the management of the nation\’s fishery. more
