Little League Member Responds to Fraud Charge

Note from Bill: The writer is responding to a Letter to the Editor in Thursday’s Gloucester City News accusing him of fraud that was written by Joseph B. Collins Jr.

The letter reads in part,

Other teams have received their photos, but not the A-Jack Team. The parents did not pay the fee to the Little League, they paid the photography company. I see a possible act of fraudulence. It seems that Bruce Darrow of the Gloucester City Little League refuses to distribut team\’s photos due to a lack of communication between the league, a new coach and new parents of young players. (You can read the entire letter in the Gloucester City News).

Mr.. Collins,

\"073107_1327_LettersBell1\" As you may not be aware not all teams have received their pictures, for the past 12 years which I have been associated with Gloucester City Little League all pictures are given to the managers of each team.

I have handled the pictures the past 6 years and continued this practice. Giving pictures to parents of players is not an option. I spoke with Mr.. Walmsley today and Mr.. Colleran the manager will get the pictures and it is his responsibility to distribute them.

Since a few parents will work this week the pictures of those parents player will be given to the manager. I am not aware of any sidebar you may have made with other members of Gloucester City Little League.

Thank you for your cooperation.
Bruce Darrow
