A Rutgers-bound student with family in New Jersey was among those killed in a severely bloody day of Israeli-Palestinian violence Thursday.
Ezra Schwartz — an 18-year-old American who lived in Sharon, Mass. and who was headed for Rutgers next year — was spending a year in Israel when he died as part of an attack by a Palestinian man that killed three people. Also dead was an Israeli citizen and a Palestinian man, though police said it was unclear if the Palestinian killed was hit by the attacker’s fire or that of Israeli forces.
According to an Associated Press report, a Palestinian motorist opened fire on a line of cars stuck in traffic in Gush Etzion, south of Jerusalem in the West Bank. The Israeli military said the attacker then intentionally rammed his vehicle into a group of pedestrians.
The military said soldiers shot at the attacker, although his condition and identity were unknown.
According to the Israeli Government Press Office, Schwartz studied in a Jewish seminary outside Jerusalem and had come to Israel on Masa, a program that brings young Jews from abroad to live in the country.

DOVER DELAWARE (Nov. 20, 2015) (CNBNewsnet)– DNREC’s Division of Fish & Wildlife reminds hunters and trappers that any coyotes harvested in Delaware must be reported to the division within one business day of take. A coyote taken on a Monday, for example, must be reported by 4:30 p.m. Tuesday to DNREC’s Wildlife Section by calling 302-735-3600; meanwhile, a coyote taken on a Friday or Saturday must be reported by 4:30 p.m. the following Monday. \”These reports will provide information on coyote abundance and distribution that will help guide the division’s scientific management of Delaware’s coyote population,\” said Director David Saveikis of the Division of Fish & Wildlife.

(CNBNEWSNET)-A prayer service will be held on Friday evening, May 20 at Angels Playground, also known as the Three Corner Park, Burlington and Middlesex Street, Gloucester City. A shooting occurred in this area three weeks ago. Andrew Stosny, age 19, a resident of Glendora was shot in the upper chest. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment and released. The shooting suspect Robert G. Figueroa, age 19, of Camden was arrested yesterday (May 17) in Camden.

Because of the shooting incident and complaints about ongoing fights in this area Reverend Kathyrn Morgan, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church and Girl Scout Leader Helen John came up with the idea of holding the Candle Light and Prayer Virgil. Those interested in attending are to meet at 8 PM at the First Presbyterian Church, corner of Monmouth and Burlington Sts. Participants will walk from the church to the park which is three blocks away.
