The Ritz Theatre Company Hosts Full Circle Sounds

This Black History Month, the Ritz Theatre Company will host Full Circle Sounds, an afternoon of live music, reflection, and community care on Sunday, February 15, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. Presented by the Haddon Township Equity Initiative (HTEI) and Ida’s Bookshop, with Shop Haddon proudly serving as a co-sponsor, the event invites the community to come together through the power of sound, storytelling, and shared experience.

Rooted in the understanding that music has long been a source of power, healing, and collective memory in the Black community, Full Circle Sounds creates space to slow down, tune in, and reflect on how sound connects us across time – holding joy and grief, protest and praise – while fostering belonging and connection.

The afternoon will be hosted by Seraiah Nicole and feature live performances by Leah Wrenne, Dise, Rae Dianz, Matte, Malik Henry, and Maya Belardo.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children. Free tickets are available for community members in need to ensure cost is not a barrier to participation.

Clayton Woman charged with Stun Gun Assault on Adult with Autism

Woodbury, NJ – Yolanda F. Johnson, 62, of Clayton, was arrested and charged with third-degree aggravated assault, third-degree endangering a person with a developmental disability, and third-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose after allegedly stabbing an adult victim in her care with a stun gun.

According to documents filed in this case:

On Feb. 3, an adult victim, who is diagnosed with autism, disclosed to individuals at school they had been harmed in their home. The victim, who had marks on their left, rear shoulder, told police they had been stabbed with a “stab gun” as they attempted to leave home on Jan. 30.

A search warrant was subsequently obtained and executed at Johnson’s home where a blue stun gun was found.

Johnson was arrested Feb. 5 and released on a summons.

The maximum term of incarceration is 5 years in state prison for each charge.

Funeral Services of Camden Firefighter Howard Bennett

Funeral Services were held today at the Freedom Mortgage Pavilion for Camden Firefighter Howard Bennett, 61, who died February 5 after falling into the freezing cold Delaware River while doing a routine maintenance check on a fire boat. Firefighters and first responders from across New Jersey along with Governor Mikie Sherrill, came to pay their respects to Bennett, who served bravely for 26 years.

Following a successful debut last season, Dover Motor Speedway and Visit Delaware have partnered again to bring a beach-inspired Fan Zone experience to The Monster Mile with the return of MILES BEACH, presented by Visit Delaware, during NASCAR All-Star Weekend, May 15–17.

MILES BEACH, presented by Visit Delaware, will again take over more than an acre of Dover’s famed Fan Zone, offering dozens of beach-themed, family-friendly attractions, including many FREE options, for fans to enjoy throughout All-Star Weekend.

Representatives Van Drew, Gillen Introduce Bill to Strengthen Coastal Protection Nationwide

Congressman Van Drew, along with Congresswoman Laura Gillen (D-NY), introduced H.R. 7459, the Coastal Trust Fund Act, which would create a reliable, long-term funding source for coastal protection projects nationwide.

“My bipartisan Coastal Trust Fund Act sets up a permanent and reliable funding stream for coastal storm risk management projects like beach nourishment,” said Congressman Van Drew. “This is a big deal, not just for New Jersey, but for the whole country. The American coastal economy contributes to 46% of national GDP, but too often the government does not deliver coastal protection until after a disaster strikes. This legislation changes the status quo by investing $1 billion a year into the Army Corps of Engineers’ coastal storm management projects. By funding the Coastal Trust Fund with existing offshore energy lease revenues, we earned a budget-neutral score from the Congressional Budget Office, meaning no new taxes or fees on anybody. This bill was developed through months of collaboration with the top coastal experts in the country, and it is one of the most serious efforts in history to protect the coastlines of the United States. Thank you to my colleague Representative Gillen and the entire coastal community for supporting this effort.”

Berkeley Township Man Charged With Aggravated Arson and Criminal Mischief

Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced that on February 9, 2026, Joseph Mansueto, 38, of Berkeley Township, was charged with Aggravated Arson and Criminal Mischief in connection with an incident that occurred on February 8, 2026, in Toms River.

On February 8, 2026, at approximately 3:40 a.m., the Toms River Township Police and Fire Departments responded to Planet Fitness on Route 37 West for a report of a structure fire. Responding emergency personnel observed a small fire at the exterior of the building. The fire was contained to the exterior of the building.
