Commissioners Celebrate Hopkins Pond Improvements

The Board of Commissioners will celebrate the grand opening of a brand-new $325,000 investment at Hopkins Pond. The project includes a 28-foot octagonal pavilion, new brick-paver walkways, picnic areas, updated lighting fixtures, landscaping, and other site improvements. These enhancements were completed as part of the Commissioner’s Parks Alive initiative.

Service Academy Information Session

Camden County Roadwork Projects

Several roadway projects will be underway across Camden County from May 26 to May 29. 

“Motorists should plan ahead to take alternate routes and give themselves plenty of time to get to their destinations,” said Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works. “Also, remember that when you’re traveling through a construction area, please slow down and stay alert for crew members and debris.”

PSE&G will be working on East Atlantic Avenue from Tuesday, May 26, to Friday, May 29, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. There will be a partial road closure eastbound, between West Merchant Street & Dowling Avenue, and a partial road closure eastbound, between Chestnut Street & West Vassar Road.

Barrington

PSE&G will be working on Copley Road on Thursday, May 28, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a partial road closure westbound, between Warwick Road & Mercer Drive.

String Band Parade Marches Down Haddon Ave.

Bring Friends & Family Next Saturday, May 30th!

Get ready for an afternoon of music, movement, and community spirit! Due to weather, the 4th Annual String Band Parade will now be marching down Haddon Avenue NEXTSaturdayMay30th from 4 PM to 6 PM, bringing the energy and tradition of the Philadelphia Mummers to Camden County. String bands will fill the streets with lively performances as they travel from Crystal Lake to Haddon Square, with great viewing spots along the way at local favorites. The celebration continues at Haddon Square with an After Party from 6 PM to 9 PM, featuring live music from The Exceptions, food, drinks, and family fun. Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Adds New Detectives

Welcome to the team! The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office has hired three new detectives, announced Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay.

On Monday, May 11, 2026, Detective Luke Barron, Detective Ryan Parry, and Detective Shianne Watson were sworn in by Prosecutor MacAulay before First Assistant Prosecutor Timothy Chatten, Chief of Detectives Robert Ferris, Deputy Chief of Detectives Randall MacNair, and Chief of Staff Michael Mangold.

Make a plan to vote on Election Day in June

Primary Election Day is right around the corner, and it’s important that voters know what to expect for this year’s election in June.

“I always tell people to have a plan when it comes to voting, and here in New Jersey, you can choose a method that works best for you, Vote by Mail, early voting, or in-person voting,” said Clerk Pamela Lampitt. “Vote by Mail, gives all registered voters the opportunity to skip the lines at their polling place, while ensuring their voice is heard. Additionally, Vote by Mail increases access for seniors, college students, active-duty military, busy parents, people experiencing mobility limitations, and anyone else who may not be able to make it to the polls on Election Day.
