Woodbury, NJ – David J. Arrington, 45, was sentenced Friday to three years in state prison by the Honorable William F. Ziegler for shoplifting and drug possession charges pursuant to a plea agreement.
According to documents filed in this case and statements made in open court: Arrington shoplifted $209 worth of merchandise from the Burlington Coat Factory in Deptford in July 2024, and a duffle bag containing cash, gift cards, and a tablet from a loss prevention employee at Walmart in Washington Township in July 2025. In addition, a search warrant execution at the Motel 6 in Monroe Township found Arrington in possession of methamphetamine.

BERKELEY TOWNSHIP, NJ (March 10, 2026)(CNBNews) — Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced that at approximately 5:00 a.m. Tuesday, Berkeley Township police officers responded to a residence on Fairwood Drive after receiving reports of shots fired.
Upon arrival, officers observed a male entering the home and heard additional gunfire coming from inside. The Ocean County Regional SWAT Team made entry a short time later. Inside the residence, officers located Allan Russell, 61, and Michelle Russell, 60, both deceased from apparent gunshot wounds. Three minor children were also found inside the home unharmed.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced that on February 25, 2026, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) lodged a detainer requesting Virginia not release a career criminal illegal alien with more than 30 arrests after the Fairfax County Police Department charged him for allegedly fatally stabbing a woman in the neck on Monday.
According to local reports, on Monday, February 23, Stephanie Minter, 41, of Fredericksburg was found dead at a local bus stop with multiple stab wounds to the upper body. Police later published a photo of Sierra Leone national Abdul Jalloh, 32, taken from a surveillance camera alerting the public that he should be considered “dangerous” and to call police if they see him. On Tuesday, February 24, a local business owner saw him and called police.

Woodbury, NJ – John M. Cocco, 82, of Washington Township was arrested and charged with one count of second-degree possession of child sexual abuse material on Thursday, Gloucester County Prosecutor Andrew B. Johns announced.
According to documents filed in this case:
The Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office received four tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about an individual uploading files of child sexual abuse material (CSAM). An investigation led to the execution of a search warrant at Cocco’s residence where several electronic devices allegedly belonging to Cocco were found. Forensic analysis of the devices found they contained 41,446 images and 103 videos of CSAM.

Middle Township, New Jersey– Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland and Middle Township Police Chief Tracey Super announce the arrest of Brian Leach, 53, of the 100 East block of Woodland Avenue, Cape May Court House, following an investigation into allegations of sexual assault.
On March 4, 2026, members of the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office, the New Jersey State Police, the Cape May County Sheriff’s Office, and the Cape May County Regional SWAT Team executed multiple court-authorized search warrants at sober living residences operated under Leach’s Sobriety House, LLC, as well as Leach’s personal residence located in the 100 East block of Woodland Avenue in the Cape May Court House section of Middle Township, New Jersey.

Sutherland, and Chief Tracey Super of the Middle Township Police Department announce that on March 3, 2026, a county resident was walking in a wooded area in the Whitesboro section of Middle Township and discovered what appeared to be a human skull. The discovery was immediately reported to the Middle Township Police Department.
