Agnes M. Peters of Gloucester City age 93

 

 

Surrounded by her loving family, on August 26, 2015. Age 93. (nee Bowe) Of Gloucester City. Loving wife of 41 years to the late Alexander Peters. Loving mother of Linda Plusch (John), Rosemary Peters, John A. Peters (Louise) and Jim Peters. Cherished grandmother of 6 and great grandmother of 5. Beloved sister of Margaret Malan.

 

Agnes was a devoted member of the Gloucester City Senior Citizens Association and faithful parishioner of St. Mary’s Church. 

 

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Saturday morning from 10 to 11 AM at St. Mary’s R.C. Church: 426 Monmouth St., Gloucester City. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM. Interment will follow in New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr.

TRENTON — A Superior Court Judge today approved a $225 million settlement between the State and ExxonMobil to resolve liability for damage to the environment and injury to natural resources caused by contamination from the corporation’s refinery operations in Bayonne and Linden, as well as other facilities and service stations in New Jersey, Acting Attorney General John J. Hoffman and Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Commissioner Bob Martin announced.

Delaware state record 22.2-pound Blueline Tilefish caught in Baltimore Canyon

LEWES DELAWARE (Aug. 25, 2015) – DNREC’s Division of Fish & Wildlife has confirmed

another new state record in the Delaware Sport Fishing Tournament’s new category for blueline tilefish: a 22.2-pounder caught on Aug. 18 in the Atlantic Ocean’s Baltimore Canyon, some 65 miles offshore. This latest catch eclipses two previous state record blueline tilefish this summer, a 19.7-pounder caught June 19 also in Baltimore Canyon, and a 21.8-pounder caught July 25 in Norfolk Canyon.

 

 

Andrew Orr of Drumore, Pa., caught the new record 37-inch-long blueline tilefish aboard the private vessel Last Chance with Capt. Bob Orr at the helm. The record catch was initially confirmed at Hook ‘em & Cook ‘em Bait and Tackle in Rehoboth Beach and then verified by Officer Adam Roark, DNREC Fish & Wildlife Natural Resources Police. The catch is recognized as a state record since the fish was caught aboard a boat that left from and returned to a Delaware port.

 

Blueline tilefish are becoming quite popular among salt water anglers. \”Off-shore fishing is where the action is right now,\” said Garry Glanden, Delaware Sport Fishing Tournament director, Division of Fish & Wildlife. \”With the popularity growing for tilefish, I would not be surprised if the record is broken yet again this year.\”

John M. Kemner, Sr. Member of Audubon LL, Knights of Columbus, Square Circle, Sports Fan

John was a Vietnam Era U.S. Navy veteran. He was an employee of Verizon for over 40 years and most recently for Heim\’s Pure Foods, Gloucester City, NJ. John was actively involved in Audubon Little League, Santa Maria Council #1443 Knights of Columbus, Haddon Twp., NJ and the Square Circle Sportsman Club, Gibbsboro, NJ. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, especially of the Phillies and Eagles and enjoyed hunting with his sons and brothers. Above all else, John was a family man–a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
