On August 21, 2015 at approximately 3:43 AM, the Gloucester Township Police were conducting enhanced patrol operations in Glendora when police communications received a call from a resident that a male was inside of their vehicle attempting to take items. Officers immediately arrived and began a search throughout the neighborhood near Glendora Avenue.

NEWARK, N.J. – An associate of the DeCavalcante crime family of La Cosa Nostra today admitted his role in distributing more than 500 grams of cocaine, running a prostitution operation and possessing a shotgun as a convicted felon, U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman announced.

Anthony Stango, 34, of Brick, New Jersey, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge William H. Walls in Newark federal court to an information charging him with: the sale of between 500 grams to 1.5 kilos of cocaine; use of the telephone in interstate commerce to conduct a prostitution operation; and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Earlier this month, London’s Sunday Times and German broadcaster ARD published a joint investigation on doping in track and field that included an analysis of 12,000 leaked blood tests from 5,000 athletes between 2001 and 2012. The tests had been carried out by the IAAF, track and field’s international governing body. Two respected experts in doping methods said blood tests of 800 of the athletes were \”highly suggestive of doping or at the very least abnormal.\” Ten runners who won medals in endurance events at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London had suspicious test results. And a startling 80 percent of Russian medalists recorded tests that showed likely doping. The vast majority of athletes with suspicious tests were never sanctioned.

GLOUCESTER CITY NJ August 21, 2015–Gloucester City Police responded to Elmwood Avenue on August 18, at 2:36 pm to investigate a report of a dog being stolen. According to police the residents said two females entered their home and stole their dog. One female suspect assaulted the male victim while the second female fled the area with the dog.

Fred J. Washart, age 62, was born and lived his whole life in Runnemede. He had many medical problems from birth to adulthood, but always fought them head-on. \”Wheels\”, \”Derf\”, or \”Legs\”, as others affectionately called Freddy, always managed to bounce back. He was a true fighter. Fred was a great son, brother, uncle, friend, and Knight of Columbus (Holy Child #3532).

Loving son of Sarah Washart Huber (nee Rafferty) and the late Joseph Washart, Sr. and his step-father, Russell Huber. Devoted brother of Anna McCloskey, Mary, Joe, Bob, Dan, Larry, Bill, and Frank Washart. Fred will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

There will be a viewing from 6 to 8pm Sunday evening and from 8:15 to 9:15am Monday morning at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE. Funeral Mass 10am at Holy Child Parish, St. Teresa RC Church, 13 E. Evesham Road, Runnemede, NJ 08078. Interment New St. Mary’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Fred’s name to Holy Child Parish.
