View Final Consent Judgment & Settlement Agreement

NEWARK – Telebrands Corp., the Fairfield, New Jersey-based company known for its \”As Seen on TV\” products, has agreed to revise its Interactive Voice Response (IVR) merchandise ordering system and other business practices, and to pay $550,000 to the State, under terms of the Final Consent Judgment and Settlement Agreement that resolves the 2014 lawsuit filed by the Office of the Attorney General and State Division of Consumer Affairs.

NEWARK, NJ—A Canadian stock promoter today admitted his role in a scheme to artificially inflate the stock price of a publicly traded company through manipulative trading and other fraudulent means, U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman announced.

Mitchell G. Adam, 47, of Vancouver, Canada, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Jose Linares to an information charging him with conspiracy to commit securities and mail fraud. Adam was initially charged by criminal complaint and arrested on May 20, 2015 at the George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston.

End of Watch: Wednesday, July 15, 2015

Corrections Officer Timothy Davison was beaten to death by an inmate in the Telford Unit in Bowie County.

He was escorting an inmate from a dayroom to his cell when the man attacked him with a blunt object, inflicting serious injuries. Officer Davison was transported to a hospital in Texarkana where he succumbed to his injuries a short time later.

The inmate who attacked him was serving a life sentence for robbery and aggravated assault. He also had several convictions for assaulting corrections officers. The inmate was subdued by other officers.

Officer Davison had served with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for only eight months. He is survived by his two children.

Norcross: \”I am deeply skeptical\”

On July 13, 2015. Age 78. Of Blackwood. Survived by his daughters, Susan Weaver Grogan and Mary Weaver Ledger; his step sons, Andrew and Mark Gattuso and 11 grandchildren. Predeceased by his former wife Veronica Weaver, his daughter Lenora K. Weaver and his brother Arthur Weaver.

 Chalie proudly served our country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. Since 1964, he owned and operated Weaver Sawmill in Blackwood. He was an outdoorsman and animal lover.
