Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli Jr. Issued the Following Statement

“It’s been one year since Trump has taken office and he has used his time in office to the sow the seeds of discontent and division throughout this country and one of his main tools for that has been Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Right now, as Gov. Sherrill has stated, Trump is using ICE as his own personal militia, and they have been terrorizing communities throughout the nation including here in Camden County. These agents have showed up in places like Camden City, Haddon Township, and Lindenwold Borough, and have indiscriminately worked to undermine the rule of law while simultaneously stopping individuals without cause and arbitrarily arresting them. We have watched videos of ICE officers with masks up, no body-worn cameras, wearing tactical gear roaming the streets in unmarked vehicles in search of their targets- our residents. This is why I am joining with our Congressman, Donald Norcross, and calling for the impeachment of the Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem.

Nine Hidden Ways Legal Services Keep Neighbourhoods Running Smoothly

When people think about what keeps a neighbourhood functioning well, they often focus on schools, shops and community organisations. Legal services are rarely mentioned, yet they quietly support nearly every part of daily life. From protecting workers to strengthening housing stability, legal professionals create the structure that allows communities to operate with fairness and confidence.

Their work prevents small issues from turning into major disruptions and ensures that laws designed to protect people are followed. This behind-the-scenes support is one of the reasons neighbourhoods remain stable, safe and resilient.

  1. Protecting Workers and Promoting Fair Employment

Employment stability is one of the strongest foundations of a healthy neighbourhood. When people feel secure in their jobs, they’re more likely to invest in their homes, support local businesses and build long-term community ties. Legal services help enforce laws around wages, discrimination, harassment and workplace safety.

Access to an employment lawyer Raleigh NC gives both employees and employers guidance when workplace concerns arise. Workers gain protection from unfair treatment, while businesses receive support in maintaining compliance and creating ethical environments. This balance reduces conflict and promotes healthier professional relationships.

What Are The Best Fabrics For Commercial Furniture Wear?

Choosing the right fabric for commercial furniture is not just about looks. In hotels, offices, hospitals, restaurants, and public spaces, furniture gets used hard every single day. People sit, slide, spill, clean, and repeat. If the fabric is not built for that level of wear, it shows damage fast—and replacement becomes expensive.

This is why commercial-grade fabrics exist. They are designed to handle heavy traffic, constant cleaning, and long-term use while still looking good. Among the brands known for doing this well, Agua Fabrics stands out for combining durability, safety, and modern design.

Let’s break down what makes a fabric suitable for commercial furniture and why Agua Fabrics is often considered one of the best options.

Why Fabric Choice Matters in Commercial Spaces

In homes, furniture might be used a few hours a day. In commercial spaces, it can be used nonstop. Poor fabric choices lead to:

  • Fast wear and visible damage
  • Fading from light exposure
  • Stains that never fully come out
  • Higher maintenance costs
  • Early replacement of furniture

A good commercial fabric protects your investment. It keeps furniture looking professional, clean, and welcoming for years.

Statement by Speaker Craig J. Coughlin on the Gateway Tunnel Project

“The Gateway Tunnel remains the most important infrastructure project in the nation, and the news that construction may halt due to withheld federal funds is deeply troubling and should sound alarm bells for commuters, workers, and businesses. The growth of our region is not optional, and the infrastructure that supports it cannot be either – walking away now would strand investments already made and unnecessarily increase the long-term costs. Delaying progress at this stage will only prolong the strain on commuters and businesses who deserve a modern, reliable rail system.

“This bipartisan project has been years in the making and is already well underway with crews on site. Interrupting progress at this stage would not only jeopardize thousands of union jobs and billions in economic activity, but would be an extraordinarily irresponsible use of taxpayer dollars. New Jersey has done its part and welcomed this investment in our future with open arms. We will continue fighting to ensure the federal government honors its commitments, and I stand with Governor Sherrill in demanding that this essential project moves forward without further delay.”

Public Safety Reengineers Senior Shoveling Program for Remainder of the 2026 Winter Season

The change will ensure that the most vulnerable can attain access to the program

(Lindenwold, NJ) – The Camden County Department of Public Safety is recalibrating the senior shoveling program service to assist the most vulnerable populations in Camden County. Based on a substantial increase in demand and limited resources, the department is shifting its focus to creating access to the residences of individuals aged 65+ who receive dialysis, chemotherapy, or other medical maladies that require them to leave their residence for treatment or need a pathway created into their homes for at-home treatment.

“Based on the surge of phone calls, we are taking prudent steps to help the residents who are most in need of this service that we offer in coordination with the Camden County Department of Corrections. It is imperative for us to reach the most vulnerable, and the way the program is set up currently will not allow us to do that,” said Vincent Jackson, Director of the Department of Public Safety. “We are still asking our residents to explore alternate options of snow removal, like asking a neighbor or family member for help. This program is not meant to replace normal means of snow clearing, and should be treated as a last resort”
