Wanted: Suspect for Commercial Robbery in the 39th District

The PPD Northwest Detective Division is attempting to identify the individual responsible for this commercial robbery.

On August 31, 2026, at 12:37pm, at the Global Gas Station located at 2200 Allegheny an employee was robbed as he was taking the previous day’s deposit to the bank. The complainant reported to police as he was leaving to take store money to the bank and an unknown suspect robbed him point of gun as he attempted to get in his car. Store video surveillance shows a newer model Hyundai Elantra pulled into the parking lot at 11:15am and waited approximately 90 minutes for the complainant to come out so he could rob him. After the robbery the offender drove in Elantra and was last seen west bound on Allegheny.

Data Shows US Airlines is Most Likely to Mishandle Your Bag

New Department of Transportation figures reveal which US airlines are most and least likely to mishandle checked luggage, as travel expert shares the steps passengers should take before checking a bag

More than one million checked bags have been mishandled by US airlines in the first six months of 2026, according to newly released government figures.

The latest Air Travel Consumer Report, issued by the US Department of Transportation in August, contains new data covering flight delays, cancellations, baggage, wheelchairs and scooters, oversales and consumer complaints.

Analysis of the figures by travel company Global Work & Travel found that reporting US airlines mishandled 1,052,493 bags between January and June 2026, from more than 213 million bags enplaned.

Gloucester City’s Aaliyah Puglia Competes on ‘Survivor 51’

GLOUCESTER CITY, N.J. — Aaliyah Puglia, a Gloucester City native, took on one of television’s toughest challenges as a castaway on “Survivor 51.”

Puglia, 24, is a chef who currently lives in Providence, Rhode Island. She described herself as confident, wise and sporadic, qualities she hoped would help her navigate the unpredictable game of alliances, strategy and survival.

Puglia said her desire to compete on Survivor comes from the opportunity to test herself in a game where “the impossible happens” and everyday people can compete for the title.

A Life Built on Adaptability

Puglia believes her experiences growing up and moving around prepared her for the challenges of Survivor.

She went from living in a small town in New Jersey to moving to Miami at age 13 with little warning. Later, she moved to Rhode Island for college without knowing anyone and traveled solo while working in unfamiliar environments.

Those experiences, she said, taught her to be adaptable and flexible and comfortable when circumstances change unexpectedly.
