
Gloucester City has always offered a fairly personal version of entertainment, where restaurants, local businesses, community activities, sports and nearby attractions can all fit into an ordinary weekend. However, the way people spend their free time is changing as digital entertainment becomes easier to access from home.
The U.S. Census Bureau estimates that Gloucester City had 11,643 residents in July 2025, so its relatively compact population gives local leisure choices a distinctly community-focused character. At the same time, New Jersey’s online casino market has grown into a substantial industry; internet gaming produced $2.91 billion in revenue during 2025, which was 22% higher than in 2024.
