What will members do? 

Individuals in the SEDAR Pool may participate, if selected, in the various data, assessments, and review workshops associated with shark stock assessments. As part of the workshops, members of the SEDAR Pool review and provide advice regarding the scientific information, data, and models that NOAA Fisheries will use or consider for use in the relevant stock assessment.

In 2027, NOAA Fisheries plans to finalize the sandbar shark assessment and begin the bull shark stock assessment.
