Mary Catherine
On August 1, 2008. (nee Franklin) Age 83. Of Gloucester City. Loving wife of 44 years to the late A. William Leeds. Loving and caring mother of William F. (Joann) Leeds of Gloucester City and Mary P. Dziengowski of FL. Loving grandmother of Christine Simon, Brian Leeds and Stefanie Clark. Devoted great-grandmother of 6. Loving sister of William (Janet) Franklin, Patrick (Heidi) Franklin and Brother-In-Law Joseph Leeds. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mary was a longtime resident of Gloucester City.
She was a 1942 graduate of Holy Spirit High School in Atlantic City. Mary was a faithful and devoted parishioner of St. Mary’s R.C. Church in Gloucester City, where she was a member of the church choir. She also was involved in the Saints and Singers and the Gloucester City Community Choir for many years. Mary will be remembered by her family and friends for her humorous writing and poetry.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend her viewing on Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 pm and Wednesday morning from 9 to 10 am at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME: 851 Monmouth St. (at Brown St.) Gloucester City, NJ 08030. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 am at Saint Mary’s R.C. Church: 426 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City. Burial New Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr.
