OBITUARY: Karen L. Pantalone, age 53, of Gloucester City /CNBNews.net

 

On May5, 2015. Age 53. (nee: Rocco).Of Gloucester City.Born in Camden, she was the daughter of the late Victor and Harriet (nee: Henriks) Rocco. Devoted wife of Michael J.; loving mother ofMichael and Leianne Pantalone. She is also survived by her brothers, Victor \”Rocky\” and Mark Rocco; sisters, Roxanne Zane, Sharon Welsh and Stacy Rocco; mother-in-law, Rosemary Pantalone; brothers-in-law, Mark and Joseph (Donna) Pantalone; sister-in-law, Joann Heckman and many nieces and nephews. Karen was also predeceased by her brother, Kenneth Rocco; mother-in-law, Jackie O’Conner, father-in-law Joseph Pantalone.

Karen worked for many years as a candy packer at Duffy’s Candy in Gloucester City. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church and was an avid Philadelphia sports fan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 12th at 11:00 am at St. Mary’s R.C. Church, 426 Monmouth St., Gloucester City. Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on from 10:00 to 11:00am. Her urn will be buried at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Karen to St. Mary’s R.C. Church, 426 Monmouth St., Gloucester City, NJ 08030

Driver Dies After Striking Rear Of Truck On Berlin Cross Keys Road

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP NJ May 6, 2015–At approximately 10:12 am, the Gloucester Township Police responded to the area of 648 Berlin-Cross Keys Road for a report of a vehicle that had struck a telephone pole. Arriving officers found the driver and sole occupant, to be in critical condition. He was extricated from the vehicle by members of Lambs Terrace Fire Department, Station 85 and airlifted to Cooper Hospital in Camden. The driver later passed away at the hospital.

PHILADELPHIA PA April 17, 2015–Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) recently has been detected in commercial poultry, backyard poultry flocks, and wild birds in several states.

As of early April 2015, the virus has been detected in wild birds in three of the four flyways: Pacific, Central, and Mississippi. It has not yet reached the Atlantic flyway.
